Since it seems there is an interest in the activities for the events, I will try to summarize for you the format for the Mini and Mega.
The Mini will be sailed Friday through Sunday on the Bay at Leeside Park. Lunches will be served daily for all participants on the beach.
The Mini Welcome party is Friday night at the Ramada Beach Resort in the Courtyard by the Gulf. On Saturday night, we have rented the Gulfarium for a private show. Youth participants will be admitted free of charge, and we will have 100 tickets to sell for $10 – first come first serve!
Sunday night we will have the Awards banquet at the Ramada for the entire Mini Event. Pan-Am participants will be able to purchase banquet dinner tickets at a reduced price, or may just come to the awards portion of the dinner.
NOW…..the Mega….
Due to the logistics and size of this event we will NOT be coming in for lunch. Beverages and light snacks will be available before we go out on the water, and Beverages and assorted food will be provided after we get off the water. If you are staying at the hotel, you will get a certificate for 2/room for continental breakfasts every day.
On Monday evening will be the Welcome Party Poolside at the Ramada. Tuesday evening is the NAHCA meeting. Wednesday is a mid-week party within walking distance of the hotel at THE SWAMP. It will be a good old-fashioned fish fry with a band playing the night away! Friday will have us back at the Ramada in the Banquet Room overlooking the Gulf for our final awards banquet.
There will be other activities planned that will be announced at registration.
The Carlton Tucker Scholarship Fund will be sponsoring a raffle for a Hobie Wave. Tickets will be sold during the entire week. The MEGA event will also be selling raffle tickets with numerous gifts being raffled off during the event. These tickets will be available at registration.
