NOTICE OF RACE

2001 HOBIE 16 TRAPSEAT CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Saturday and Sunday, July 14-15 - Competition

LOCATION:

Central Okanagan Sailing Association
4220 Hobson Road, Kelowna, BC V1W 1Y3 CANADA

BOATS:

Hobie Cat 16 (with Trapseats)

ENTRY FEE:

$100.00 (plus refundable $100 deposit for boat use if necessary)
$50.00 - entry fee if you provide either a Hobie 16, Trapseats, or both (plus refundable $100 deposit for boat use if necessary)
Includes: training camp and competition, morning coffee/juice, 3 lunches, dinner Saturday night.

SCORING:

The low point scoring system in Rule A2 will be used, except that the points for first place shall be one. There shall be 12 races scheduled, of which one race shall be completed to constitute a series.

RULES:

The event will be governed by the 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the Canadian Yachting Association, the Notice of Race, the Hobie 16 Class Rules (Trapseat Guidelines for the Hobie 16), and by the sailing instructions.

ENTRIES:

The helmsperson may be able bodied or disabled, however an able bodied helmsperson must supply his/her own Hobie 16 with Trapseats.

SCHEDULE:

Registration will be from 9-10 am Friday, July 13th.
Training Camp to begin at 10:30 am.
Regatta only registration July 14th (8-9 am).
The first race shall be at 10:00 am Saturday, July 14th.
No sequence shall be started after 2:30 pm on Sunday, July 15th.

PRIZES:

Prizes shall be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. The prize to participant ratio shall be one prize for every three entries.

DIRECTIONS:

From the south: Coquihalla Connector
-to Hwy 97- to Kelowna
- South on Pandosy St/Lakeshore Rd
- for 5 miles-right on Hobson Road
From the north:
- Hwy 97-to Kelowna
- same as above.
