The race is governed by "The Racing Rules of Sailing", the Prescriptions of the Nat'l Authority, IHCA Class Rules and the Sailing Instructions.

Registration Fee$300. US by June 1, 2001

Membership/Insurance NAHCA Membership is required for all skippers and they must show proof of valid liability & boat insurance at the time of registration. Please include proof when mailing your registration.

Trophies Trophies wil be awarded to a minimum of 15 deep.

Advertising This event is a Category A event as described in the US SAILING Racing Rules - Rule 79, Appendix G.

Courses/Scoring Courses will be standard IHCA courses. Alternae penalty will be in accordance with Hobie Class Rule 21.1. Low Point scoring system RRS Appendix A will be used.

Boat Measurement All boats must conform to H-16 Class measurement rules. All boats will be weighed prior to the commencement of racing.

Accomodations Monterey Bay Lodge (800-588-1900) is the closest to Race Site. Small, modest, pool, hot tub. Management will give a 15% discount to all sailors. Please mention event when reserving a room. PLEASE make these reservations early as the hotel is normally full by late March. Overflow accomodations will be recommended at a later date.

RV's We are working with the city at this time for RV parking. These arrangements will be announced in the final NOR to be published in the next NAHCA newsletter and will be posted on the NAHCA web site.

Transportation Fly into San Francisco or San Jose airports. From there, either rent a car, catch a shuttle or connect to Monterey Airport. It is roughly a two hour drive from San Franciso, half hour less from San Jose.
