This page will tell you some stuff about Hobie youth sailing in North America. If you’re under 21, whether you’re into racing or just like to fly a little hull once in a while, you are a Hobie Youth and this page is for you! Check it out!

The "youts" would like to thank the North American Hobie Class general membership for the donations made to the youth program. The "check the box" to support Hobie Youth sailing on the class membership form has been super. Moneys collected have been used in the grant program and for cool activities at our Hobie 16 Youth Championships.

Youth Grant Program

In order to get the Yout Grant Program ball really rolling, the Hobie Class Association Board of Directors has relaxed the Grant requirements for the 2007 season.

Any HCA Yout members that race in the 16 Youth Championships or other major Hobie event, (N. American Championship, any size class) can receive Grant money to help with expenses. Simply write a letter/email to Mimi Appel with: the event name, your HCA member number, and an amount you would hope to receive. A receipt for gas, campground, or hotel, would be super but is not necessary. Deadline is October 31, 2007. The amount awarded will depend upon the number of requests and funds available.
